This is to inform you that you (may experience) slow down in (your) internet access due to multiple cuts or faults in the Asia-Pacific submarine cable network. The damage was brought about by the recently reported earthquake and typhoon which hit the Southeast Asian region.
Traffic re-routing was already implemented thru other internet gateways that were not affected by fiber cut to temporarily address the problem.
However, we would like to assure you, our valued customer, that BELLTEL is exerting its best efforts in mitigating the effect of this outage by working closely with our upstream providers. We will be providing you regular updates as soon as new information becomes available.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience which the outage may have caused you and your company.
