Edgardo P. Reyes, Chairman and President - Mr. Reyes is chairman of Gonzalo, Puyat and Sons Inc. one of the oldest corporations in the Philippines being in business for more than ninety years, with interests in various ventures ranging from finance to marketing. Mr. Reyes' business career is as diverse as the business ventures he is in and holds key positions in various corporations.
Mr. Reyes sits on the boards of companies such as Puyat Steel Corporation, the country's pioneer world class galvanizing company that started operations in 1956; Puyat Flooring Products, Inc., one of the leading vinyl tile manufacturer in Philippines; South China Resources, Inc., involved in oil & gas field exploration and mining services; Premier Bank, one of the largest private development banks in the country and International Pipe Industries, Inc., a pioneer manufacturer of large-diameter spiral welded pipes and machinery fabrication in the Philippines and Southeast Asia and has been producing quality pipes for the last 33 years. |

Carmelo B. Lampa Jr., Vice President for Operations and Carrier Services - Mr. Lampa is responsible for all domestic operations and maintenance as well as project implementation. He also oversees all international gateway facilities and satellite operations.
Mr. Lampa has had over 22 years experience in the telecommunications industry, having performed duties in technical operations, network planning, engineering, quality assurance, LEC operations, customer support as well as technology evaluation. He is technically well-rounded and has hands-on experience in transmission, switching and data system installation & operation, customer network design, project management, quality standards and network management systems. He possesses technical as well as resource management skills. He is also proficient in the design and execution of services and products through years of exposure to new technologies and closely working with consultants, vendors and manufacturers.
During the past 5 years, Mr. Lampa has headed the Operations & Carrier Services Division of Bell Telecom Phils, Inc. He manages the establishment, commissioning and operation of core network infrastructure, including ATM-based backbone transmission facilities, IGF and toll telephone switches, Internet resources as well as power and mechanical utilities. He manages the installation and maintenance of broadband fixed wireless access facilities connecting customers to the core network as well as the unit responsible for help desk and customer service functions. He also negotiates interconnection with major LEC, IGF and CMTS operators.
Besides heading operations, he also heads the Corporate & Consumer Sales Divisions in charge of selling BellTel’s various services to corporations, educational and financial institutions, government agencies, SMEs and residential clients.
Mr. Lampa’s previous work experiences include employment with Philippine Global Communications, Inc. (PhilCom) in various line and executive positions. He has also served as Chief Technical Adviser and Board member for PhilCom’s telecom 2 subsidiaries in Mindanao. |

Atty. Zosimo L. Padro Jr., Vice President – Finance / Legal / HR and Administration
As VP for Finance, he is responsible for maintaining a healthy company financial condition in terms of liquidity, profitability and solvency aimed at achieving overall company objectives and ensuring effective management of company resources to promote for an adequate return on capital; Set-up policies and procedures and management of well-planned and informative financial, accounting, billing and collection and budgeting control system.
Atty. Padro, Jr., reviews, analyzes and interprets financial results for utilization by higher management in the decision making process, evaluates data with reference to company unit objectives, prepares and files external reports as required to satisfy government regulatory bodies, stakeholders, financial institutions, and the general public. He also manages such functions as national and local taxes, including interface with respective taxing authorities and agents.
Atty. Padro, Jr., who is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), has over 27 years of experience in the field of Accounting and Corporate Law. He establishes and maintains an integrated plan of operations in line with the company's goals and objectives, both short and long-term. Develops and revises satisfactory standards against which to measure performance and provide guidance to other members of management in insuring conformance of actual results to standards.
As OIC for HR, Administration and Legal – He is responsible for management and direction setting for human resources and administration. Supervises and manages overall legal requirements of the company, form contracts, regulatory cases and other matters. Provides legal assistance, opinion and advice to other services and departments of the company; reviews and clears all contracts and agreements entered into by the company with its stakeholders.

Jose Romulo “Joey” F. Benitez, Assistant Vice President - Customer Operations and Project Management (CO & PM) - Responsible for management and direction setting for the division. Formulates strategies, policies and guidelines to ensure the organization continuously provides timely, fault-free and competitive service to achieve total customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.
Besides heading CO & PM, he also handles the Quality Management Group in charge of maintaining the ISO certification and quality assurance.
Joey Benitez carries with him a solid twenty five (25) years of experience in the field of telecommunication and has twelve (12) years of Project Management experience on full turn-key projects.
Joining Belltel in 2001 as Senior Manager for Quality Assurance and Support Facilities, Mr. Benitez was promoted to his current position a year later. With his leadership, Belltel became the first company wide telecommunications company to be ISO9001 certified in the Philippines. Prior to joining Belltel, he was Project Director in Lucent Technologies Philippines Inc. where he competently managed various projects from pre-award to project close-out with a thorough understanding of project cycle and processes from all disciplines, including service proposals, engineering, installation, project administration and control.
Mr. Benitez started his career with PLDT and has moved on to Saudi Telecom based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was heavily involved in the preparation of the technical specification of the telephone expansion project for the whole kingdom. He carried out technical evaluation of bid proposals, monitored project implementation and remained hands-on until project completion.
In addition to the Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, Mr. Benitez holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, School of Business and Public Management. |

Armando S. Macaraeg, Assistant Vice President – Network Services – Mr. Macaraeg is responsible in carrying out the implementation of necessary actions and directives for ensuring the proper day to day operations of the company’s Transmission (Terrestrial and Satellite), Switching, and Data Network including Support Facilities taking into consideration reliable but cost effective Operations and Maintenance strategies. He is also responsible in seeing to it that implementation of services for clients and business partners alike are provided in time to avoid unnecessary losses.
Mr. Macaraeg is an Electronics and Communications Engineer with more than 26 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry mostly in Operations, Maintenance, and Installation of Transmission Facilities. His first four (4) years in the Industry was with the Philippine Government’s Bureau of Telecommunications among the group handling the entire Long Lines Section of the Bureau’s Transmission links nationwide comprising of Microwave, UHF, VHF, and HF radio facilities. He spent 19 years with Philcom, 3 years with Liberty Telecoms, and presently 3 years with BellTel. Although his past responsibilities varied to a certain extent from one job to another, they were similarly and mostly about transmission facilities. |
